In 2016 we founded 509 Quest which is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, based in Chicago, with the mission to train mental health counselors in Haiti, as Haiti lacks this severely.

I was in Haiti during the devastating 2010 earthquake and I don’t know what would have happened if it wasn’t for great support and access to mental health care. I realized back then that my fellow Haitians didn’t have access to that kind of support. As an organization working in Haiti, 509 Quest doesn’t only seek to train people to become mental health counselors, but our vision is that all Haitians suffering from mental illness will one day have access to mental health care.
